Olive Grove is a free Spanish-learning site for students. We built it so that it can be used in schools without anyone having to hand over personal information. This page explains, in plain language, what that means.

The short version

Flashcards, quizzes and practice

The flashcards, the word of the day and the mini quiz all run entirely inside your browser. Your answers and scores are not saved and are not sent to us or to anyone else. When you close or refresh the page, they're gone.

If you contact us

If you email us at hello@olivegrove.casa, we'll receive your email address and whatever you write. We use it only to reply to you, and we delete messages once they've been dealt with, usually within a year. We never add anyone to a mailing list.

The contact form on our home page doesn't send anything by itself. To make sure a message reaches us, please use email.

Children and young people

Many of our visitors are students. You don't need to share any personal information to use Olive Grove. If you're under 13, please ask a parent, carer or teacher before emailing us, and don't include details like your home address, phone number or school. If we find we've received personal information from a child without a grown-up's involvement, we'll delete it.

Fonts

Our fonts are loaded from Google Fonts. This means your browser connects to Google's servers to download them, and Google may log that request as described in its own privacy policy. We don't receive any information from this.

Your rights

You can ask us at any time whether we hold any messages from you, and ask us to delete them. Just email hello@olivegrove.casa.

Changes

If anything here changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
